Living minutes away from school

We guarantee that all our students will be living in the same neighbourhood.

The Gateway School of English Residence student accommodation is located right next to the school (only 3 minutes from bedroom to classroom). It is available on Bed & Breakfast B&B basis with kitchen/cooking facilities and all bedrooms are fully air-conditioned (heating in winter/cooling in summer). Both the school and the residence are in separate buildings but only 20 metres apart, so the residence is the ideal option for those students who prefer to lie in a little and sleep that extra hour in the morning yet still make it to school on time! The school and residence buildings are located in a quiet neighbourhood on the border between St Julian’s (the most popular tourist resort on the island) and San Gwann (a neighbouring residential town of St Julian’s), and is only 12 to 15 minutes’ walk (or 3 minutes by bus) from Spinola Bay – Malta’s main tourist resort and the nearest beach.

All our host families are located within 5 to 15 minutes’ walking distance from the school, which means that no public transport is needed to get to school since it is even better reached on foot. The school’s location is ideal for host families and is one of the most popular neighbourhoods for homestay accommodation in Malta, with the largest number of Maltese host families in the area.

We also offer a choice of self-catering accommodation close to the school and 3-, 4- and 5-star hotel accommodation in St Julian’s, which are, likewise, within walking distance or a few minutes by bus from the school. Moreover, the school is connected to the public transport network in Spinola Bay in St Julian’s (just three bus stops away from the school), which, by public transport, is one of the most easily accessible areas in Malta as it connects a lot of routes, making it possible to reach any other part of the island from there.
