Fantastic 3 weeks staying in a Maltese host family during an unpaid work placement internship

What a beautiful gesture from our Italian students who were studying English in Malta and doing an unpaid work placement in their free time for the past three weeks. Before their departure this weekend Giulia and Maria from Sardegna left a note for the host mother thanking her for her patience, kindness and for making their stay the perfect home-away-from-home atmosphere. The host mother immediately shared this note with us at school together with a gift which the students also gave to the host mother.

Gateway School of English GSE offers homestay accommodation on half board basis all year round in carefully selected host families. Maltese host families are well known for their hospitality , kindness and friendliness which students appreciate during their time studying with us in Malta.  When you live in a host family you will have the opportunity to try Malta’s local cuisine, get to know about local traditions, the Maltese way of life and feel fully immersed in Maltese life.  You will also have the opportunity to speak with your host parents during meal times, practising your English aftre school both with students staying in the same family but also the family members themselves.
